ObesityWeek 2017 Call for Abstracts! ASMBS Submission Deadline is May 1st

The ASMBS is now accepting abstracts for ObesityWeek 2017, Oct. 29th through Nov. 2nd in Washington, DC. Submissions are being accepted for oral, poster, video, integrated health and behavioral health forums. Topic categroies include:

New in 2017, poster abstracts will be presented as E-Posters and ASMBS will host one abstract session spoken and presented in Portuguese. Click here to read the complete abstract submission guidelines and submit your abstracts.

San Diego, CA, June 8-10

Register today for the 2017 ASMBS Weekend, June 8-10 in San Diego, CA. The 3-day clinical symposium focuses on the basic science, clinical application, surgical treatment and prevention of obesity. This year’s event offers attendees more than 20 CME/MOC/CE hours of education with three full days of surgical courses, including sessions on bariatric flexible endoscopy and intragastric balloons, as well as integrated health courses. Submit Applications for the 2017 ASMBS Research
Grant Program

The ASMBS Research Committee is accepting applications for the 2017 ASMBS Research Grant Award Program. Grants are open to any principal investigator who is an ASMBS Regular, Affiliate Surgeon/Physician, Associate or Candidate Member. The grant is awarded for a period of two years. Available grants include:

  • Two $25,000 grants awarded for metabolic and bariatric surgery research
  • Two $25,000 grants awarded to fund robotic research in metabolic and bariatric surgery research

In the past, investigators have written grant applications on a broad array of topics in clinical science, basic science and translational research. Grant awards will be presented at ObesityWeek 2017. The deadline for submissions is July 1, 2017. Click here to learn more or email research@asmbs.org.
